Selling Wing Tai

Over the months, market has been doing well. I have hence taken the opportunity to sell some of my stocks. Earlier I have sold Airasia, now I have decided to sell Wing Tai Malaysia.

The stock has gained more than 30% over such a short period of time, obviously with the help of the pushing post GE. At the moment, am holding slightly more cash, and do not have a specific plan on what to do yet.

HI Felicity

Is it the reason you cash out some as you think those stocks are already at its fair or higher than fair value? Or expecting market to correct soon?

What is your view on putting idle cash in REITs(I mean the liquid one) while waiting to take position again in newly found jewels? Of course, REITs price may go down, I guess it may not go down so much if market correct as investors may look for more stable stocks like REITs during downturn.

I do not know actually, but holding some cash for any eventuality.

REITs can be a good investment, however personally I am not attracted to buying or selling REITs due to I like to evaluate business much better.

However, REITs is very much an alternative to safe depositing of cash

Owe you big-time for the Wing Tai heads-up. Thanks. I personally don't believe thats it time to be selling any stocks, except KLCCP. But thats the beauty of the markets. It wouldn't exist if people didn't disagree.

I think market is good enough to sustain but felt that I wanted to hold some cash for the short term
